Therapy for Adults and Couples in Glen Rock, NJ
Life can look perfectly manageable from the outside while feeling much more complicated underneath. You may be struggling with your relationship, feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities, trying to understand ADHD, or wondering why a transition that seemed manageable has affected you more than expected.
I work with adults and couples from Glen Rock and surrounding communities who want therapy that goes beyond simply treating a symptom. My work focuses particularly on relationships, couples and sex therapy, ADHD and neurodiversity, parenting, and the changes that can reshape how you see yourself and your relationships.
Therapy for Relationships, Intimacy and Neurodivergence
Sometimes couples come to therapy because they can't stop arguing. Sometimes they have stopped arguing because they've stopped talking. And sometimes the problem isn't obvious at all—they simply don't feel as close as they once did.
ADHD and neurodivergence can add another layer to relationship dynamics, affecting communication, expectations, emotional regulation, organization, and intimacy.
Therapy can help you understand the pattern you're caught in rather than simply trying harder to break it.
Couples and Sex Therapy
I work with couples dealing with communication problems, recurring conflict, emotional distance, mismatched desire, parenting disagreements, infidelity, and other challenges that can leave partners feeling disconnected.
Sex therapy can address concerns such as low or mismatched desire, changes in sexual intimacy, difficulty talking about sex, sexual anxiety, and rebuilding intimacy after infidelity.
As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, I provide a space where couples and individuals can discuss these concerns honestly and without judgment.
ADHD and Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy
For adults with ADHD, the challenges often show up most clearly in everyday life and close relationships.
You may understand your ADHD intellectually but still struggle with time, organization, emotional intensity, follow-through, or communication. Partners may interpret those differences in very different ways.
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and non-pathologizing. We look at what's actually happening, what each person needs, and how you can create strategies and relationship patterns that are more workable.
Individual and Parenting Therapy
Individual therapy can be helpful when you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from yourself, or uncertain about what comes next.
I also work with parents navigating the demands of raising children, differences in parenting styles, neurodivergent children, school-related challenges, and the challenge of taking care of yourself while caring for everyone else.
